In a tournament, the opponentās probably always folding to a river shove if you have him stacked. Heās obviously not holding a big heart, and if heās right but 3-bet pre-flop, heās not holding a straight on this board, so heās scared of both.
What's up man? Nice video. I'd just like to say, you have all the bases covered. Myself, would've snap shoved. I put him on a small heart. Min showdown value. I'm just getting back into poker. Haven't played in years. Literally. Used to dominate. Again, literally. Was in the NV Poker League. Played usually at Station Casinos in Vegas. Ima native. Moved away in 2010. After my 2nd prison stint. Moved to Colorado, where I had my 3rd Prison stint. So, yeah….. Been busy working. Been off parole for 2yrs now. Been out close to 4yrs now. Had a daughter at 36 12-28-2016. Live in a small town in CO. They have 2 games on Tue, 2 games on Thu. Most I've seen there is 33ppl. Usually 20ish. So I've been doing the $5 no re-buy on Tue nights @7pm. 1st few x's I stacked in 10th. Next few times, 11th or 12th. Last time I was 1st one out. Found your video, looking for tips. I seriously started playing after Moneymaker won. My 1st hand of NLHE cane on New Years Day. In SDCC(Indian Springs) Prison. I made Quad J's. Against someone with 6's Full of J's. I coulda stacked em, and didn't. Boy I heard about that one for days from my buddy. Anyway…. Thanks for the advice.
An awful bet on a turn! We should bet almost size of pot to get rid of hands with A and K of hearts… We don't wanna see another heart on a river! Simple as that. Even AK (most likely the hand our opponent has) with either suited Ace or King would probably fold to a pot-sized bet on a turn, because now he would understand he is behind. And we showing only one possible hand here which is a set that doesn't want to see a river so we are making a Big bet here and putting his tournament life on a line so he's not gonna call to chase runner-runner unless he doesn't understand the odds or just can't fold his top pair because he is donk. We must get away here with less value may be, but its way better than betting small on a turn and then stuck on a river when board will see another heart and the guy moves ALL IN.
Also the name of the video is absolutely irrelevant. Waste of time. And waste of QQs š
Hmmmmm. I like the video and how in depth it is, but I also feel the title is a bit misleading… But now looking back at the video it does talk about different actions and outcomes so I guess it does help in explaining how to play a big pair
If you represent the flush with a big bet like 4 times – 10 times the BB , if you know the your opponent is super tight player , he might fall! but your turning your hand into bluff! and if he call ,you turnement life is over! you did the right thing!
With my luck, I'd fold this after getting check raise at the turn. And they would have K3 no heart thinking they have the best hand.
He should've bet more than 1600 on the turn. He needs to price out his opponent for a flush draw. He showed weakness and that's why he got re-raised. Either shove over the top there, or shove when he checks the river. You can't win this hand by showing weakness from the start.
Fine bet sizing on turn? You are giving him 1/6 pot odds to see the river, which means his A of hearts, that is a big possibility can get improved so many times. Sizing on that TURN is not FINE.
when he check the river i would check it too because I have the nuts before and set trap. If i did it before villain check it set the trap if you bet
