  1. You should at least try it a few times. Because people get those side bets cards but kick themselves for not playing it.

  2. Dark star. Cool video. Some correction on roulette pays 1 to 35
On American roulette house edge about 5.4%
    On European 2.7%

  3. Im not a pro, but I enjoy blackjack play occasionally on the weekends, and I can hold my own at the table. With that said, I won 13 side bets in a row last weekend, with one being a suited trip (which I happened to play $5 bucks on each that time) total loss: 80.00 total win:1935.00. This isn't a lot for most players, but for me it was cool. I have seen people lose alot more than they win, and I dont always side bet, but I got a feeling and i ran with it.

  4. What about the dealer match side bet ? I play at casino that offers dealer match up and down card on Spanish 21.

  5. Here's the thing though. I currently play Royal Match only when the count goes up. I do not play it when the count is low. Reason being that at high counts there are a lot of 10 value cards. Most of the 10 value cards are face cards which increases the likelihood that I'll get a face pair. I believe this takes a significant edge off the house. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to bet more than the minimum on those for the same house edge reasons you mention. I ran a CVData test and playing the Royal Match significantly raised the expected hourly rate (assuming you are playing a winning main game) for low stakes games.

  6. On the royal match they have a big edge on the first two cards. They have an even bigger edge on the rebet to match the suit. If you have the same suit you can win 2 to 3 to 1. I would take the bet if I could see a king or queen first card but you have to bet it before the first card comes out. You also win if two cards are suited as well.

  7. One of the worst side bets out there and ploppies still but a dollar out there thinking they're going to get rich off it.

  8. suited bj is 5:1, also 1 dollar royal match side bet pays 1000:1 for crown jewel, you and dealer both having a royal match, royal match is also beatable if you know what your doing.

  9. I play single-deck black jack, and they offer the Royal Match side bet. It pays 3:1 for any matched suit, and 10:1 for the Royal Match. I don't play this side bet, because I know the odds are bad, and because at the end of the day, I want to know whether the money I won or lost is from BJ, not some other game mixed into it. But yes, the ploppies flock to it, and it really slows down the game.

  10. Last night, I watched a dealer encourage a woman who won the match on a 12 against a 6. He encouraged her to hit again, so she could win another match !! (and she did!!) I was sitting at third base, and loudly said to the dealer, "C'mon- are you dealing Black Jack or are you dealing Royal Match?!?" I know he agreed with me, but shrugged his shoulders because all the ploppies really don't know how to play blackjack well, so to encourage more betting, he was encouraging them to rebet, even when it didn't make sense.
