Texas Holdem Strategy Video Source & Information:
In this poker hand, we are throwing it back to 2012 where Tony G faces off against the never ageing Patrik Antonius.
Antonius manages to find a check with the effective nuts, setting the bait three times for Tony G which he gladly takes and finds a bet on the river. Antonius puts in a huge check raise but can Tony find the call with his marginal hand?
Either way, you know Tony G is steaming when he faces this kind of aggression!

What would YOU do with A♦ 4♦ on the river?
Your Stack (BB): 339,000
Their Stack (LJ): 332,000
Pot: 67,000
Board: 4♥ A♣ A♠ 6♣ 3♣
A) Check
B) Bet 17,000
C) Bet 44,000
D) Bet 100,000
I feel like unless I had some sort of read on Tony G's play (e.g. propensity to run bluffs) I would probably just make a medium bet here on the river. Since his range should contain marginal-made hands and air, a lot of those hands should just check back a lot of the time if we check, which would be terrible. I don't think there's any reason to bet tiny; the absolute air will fold regardless.
I think an overbet could make sense as well if we want to put some nut hands into our polarized range, so we can run some big bluffs in this situation. But given that both players checked both flop and turn, it just feels like I want to do everything to get called by those marginal hands and not risk blowing people off.
EDIT: I guess I'm underestimating how often we might check an ace twice OOP to trap.

Love watching Tony g lose
Over bet to be as polarized as possible on a weird line
I'd probably bet small like 1/4 pot. I think that gives Tony G plenty of room to bluff repping a flush or straight.
Over bet
i would do C) Bet 44,000
That's a very old hand:)
I love watching Tony G lose. I can't remember the hand, but he was on a CBS International poker tournament and completely went off on a player for making a loose call. He's always comes off as classless.
