Good video Jacob, & great points about controlled shooters. I’m in agreement
I was just thinking if you shoot the 3V yourself and if your likely 7 will be 3-4…why not just play your regular inside Numbers…then Hop the 3-4 for $15, each roll or for $5, $10, and $15?
The problem is the majority of players in the casino are not controlled shooters or they are not good at controlled shooting. So most the time you will be betting on a random shooter.
The progression may be wrong but what you are basically doing is betting that a "7" will be rolled within 15 rolls. That will occur 93.5% of the time and fail 6.5% [(30/36)^15] of the time – once every 15 attempts.
Even on a cold, cold table that is too risky for me, but on a "bad" day it could be fun.
Unfortunately, they really beat you up on the payouts on hop bets. It is a prop bet after all. This one carries a 16.67% house edge.
I have done something similar. I usually wait until someone has rolled 10 times. I start at 5 each in the 7’s. I go up $1 each time. Until the 7 comes. It works.
In order for this strategy to you have to make sure you bring enough money in case you get a hot shooter. Because if you don’t have enough money you will lose. And another thing is that if you up get out
This does not work because the hop 7 pays 4 or 5 to one not 15 to one like your showing
There’s actually a lot of crap you take from dealers AND players doing this at a table. BUT that’s only because the house can benefit from people staying off the 7s hop. The 7s hop can also be used to break about even or lose a lot less depending on what you bet with a point established.
