I have to disagree and say that calling with AK3 flop is not good. An opponent can have QJ or Q10 easily, and turn or river a J or 9 and get a straight. It's sure happened to me many times. I think the best way to play this when connectors are flopped is to seal the deal. I think because you didn't mention that you've lost credibility in my eyes.
That was a bonkers fold. I don't think I could ever have laid down a boat there. I did put KJ in my opponent's value betting range but I also had hands like Q10 and QJ in there too. I am not sure I like the river raise here. Literally the only hand that will call the river raise that doesn't have us beat is Q10. Is it worth it to look for razor thin value from such a small subset of combos?
miss play not raising all in on flop
I called kj
I never raise on the river without the stone cold nuts most times your only getting called by a better hand.
You watched it before your comments!! Cmon dude, easier when you know the outcome
I wasn't a fan of the non-raise after the flop. The probability is that you are ahead and letting your opponents draw for free doesn't sound like great strategy to me. You're probably going to get called by all sorts of hands that you are a head of but there is also the possibility that you will get some information about whether somebody has a very strong hand which should stifle further enthusiasm on your part.
I really wasn't a fan of the raise at the river. Maybe this is a flaw in my game but a whole lot of the hands that will call a raise will beat my full house and then of course there is the possibility of facing a re raise. Then what? probably the worst your opponent has is two pair, AA's and KK's, so you might win but a loss seems a lot more likely as the host correctly suggests.
WOW What a fold!
Most of your videos have misleading titles. E.g., the title here indicates a generic strategy, whereas, the video is about a one-off case, this is rare play-pattern and will likely not be faced by anyone. More importantly, there are millions of such play-patterns, no one can memorise all. Also, even a fish can tell that the min-raise on the river was a blunder (no hindsight); if you're looking to build credibility in sharing poker-tips, then at the very least, avoid blunders.
I would never be able to fold that…
But never would I min raise on the river anyway, would go larger
