  1. For me the key point here is to simplify our own decision making process by jamming the turn. Its ok, if he fold, because he is almost certainly not drawing dead.

  2. Hi Alec, loving the commentary. Doesn’t this come back to your initial comment on how you wouldn’t play this sort of hand? Not really a value hand, but then kind of value betting, possibly jamming basically out of convenience/pseudo value, and then ultimately making the correct decision to fold after the river? It’s not adding up in my mind.

  3. off topic: I highly recommend learning some basic camera lighting/focusing techniques for these videos. It's super distracting that you're often out of focus and your background is often way brighter than you are. (working my way through your hand of the day playlist)

  4. I would for sure jamm the turn get value out off flush draws trips 2ps and hope the flush doesnt come on the river😆

  5. Awesome incite Alec, I have a hard time playing straights a lot in cash games. I was recently at the casino playing 1-2 NL and feel like I might have gotten out of line with a pocket pair. I had 9c9h and raised under the gun to $11 ($230 behind) under the gun +1 and button called. Flop comes 10d 8d Js and I bet $25 UG+1 ($160 behind) calls and the button folds. Turn comes 4c I check UG+1 bets $40 and I call. River comes a Qd and I Check and UG+1 bets $65 I think for a couple moments and shove for the rest of his chips with a board reading 10d 8d Js 4c Qd. He hesitates for just a moment and then calls, I declare a straight and show pockets nines, he says me too and shows Ah Kc. Did I play this hand poorly or get cooled?

  6. You're right Alec, he should had shob at the turn, I don't think villain had flush I think he had like K J
