If you’ve seen a wild and exciting scene in a casino in a movie, you’ve probably seen a craps table in action. The crowds go wild as a shooter chucks dice down the felt. Crank up the excitement by placing your own bets.
THE COME OUT
The basic bet in craps is based on “passing” or “not passing.” If the first roll is a 7 or 11, the shooter passes that round. Everyone who bet the pass line wins. But if the shooter “craps out” by rolling a 2, 3, or 12, everyone on the pass line loses.
THE ROUNDS
What about other rolls, though? 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 are “point numbers.” If one of these is rolled on the come out, a point has been established. Now the shooter’s task is to roll that point number again before rolling a seven. If he rolls a 7 first, the pass bet loses.
In both cases, you can also flip it around and bet the don’t pass line. Now you’re betting that the shooter won’t pass the first or the following rounds.
ODDS AND MULTI-ROLL BETS
These are just the basics of the game. But it gets really interesting when you add money to your bet and get true odds payouts. You can also bump up the action with multi-roll bets and betting the come. Watch this video for all the betting options and strategies Bodog’s virtual craps tables have to offer.
