Multi Way Pots Poker Strategy

Poker Strategy Info And Source:

Today’s #HandOfTheDay is from my #HelloAlec series and it comes from my reader Kyle. He was playing a multi way pot against a massive fish and a solid pro. I chose to analyse this hand because I think it’s important to start discussion adjusting one’s play to the different poker skill level of the players involved in a hand.

Multi Way Pots Poker Strategy

  1. This hand is definitly played to slowly. Its almost impossible to imagine a more wet board, and there are a ton of cards, that are bad for us. 9 or A can make us split the pot with someone, and Q can give someone a higher straight. T, J or K can give someone a full house, and a club can give someone a A-high or K-high flush. We want to get the money in, before any of that happen, so we dont risk making a big expensive mistake by either calling off with the worst hand or folding the best. Playing the hand faster makes it much easier to play, and its also profitable. As Alec say, we really dont need to worry about our opponents folding to much here. So many hands have equity or think, they have equity, that we are leaving tons of value on the table with these cute bet sizes.

  2. Alex awesome stuff brother have noticed as I've progressed with my game that as I watch your videos I'm more in tune with your thinking and way of going about playing a had. Good stuff brother keep it up!

  3. Bet sizing was so horrendous, and it nearly cost the hero the pot. Just bet strong with a strong hand in a multi-way pot. Get the draws out, and take it down early.

  4. I have been in Antibes lol, with my french cousin and two of her classmates who stole a boat but represented it as theirs to the two unwitting girls they wanted to impress 😀 but not to worry, we returned it in good condition after an in fact rather short trip, the poor dudes had chosen to steal a boat that was low on gasoline…

  5. It know its going back a while but, if you asked me the only card that could've jammed all in with, that matched that Qs was the Ac. Because he could have called with the straight if he wasn't as aggresive maybe due to a tilt or previous hands burned. I've seen things like this, it never makes sense but it does happen. True?
He may have had the QH. Just makes sense too to chase seeing he was check calling with low pot odds all streets but the river i suppose. Yeah, I chose the latter. Any thoughts people?
