Typically it's referred to as "Free Odds" bet. Like you said 0% house advantage. True odds is correct too though.
The second time a 4 came up you bet against the point being made again. That was not a Free odds bet. It was actually a "Lay" bet which does have a house advantage. If you look how much your bankroll went up when that Lay bet won it was a profit of $9.26 for your $20 Lay bet so your total went up $29.26. That "Lay" bet carries a 2.44% house advantage…….Not too bad. The hard 4 all day bet (hedge) you made carries a hefty 11.11% disadvantage. OUCH!!! It only pays off at 7:1 but there are 8 ways for that bet to lose (six ways to make a 7 plus 3,1 plus 1,3) vs one way to win (2,2).
Like you said the pass line (or don't pass) along with the free odds bets are GREAT bets. They are actually better than you indicated. They are actually better than Bac by quite a bit if we're splitting hairs. The pass line by itself with no free odds bet = 1.41% House Advantage. (worse than Bac) BUT when you combine your pass line bet with the 0% FREE odds bet the combination of the two goes down to 0.85% house advantage. Pass Line plus Double free odds = 0.61% House advantage. Pass Line plus Tripple free odds = 0.47% House advantage. That's less than 1/2 of 1%. VERY good deal !!! Some casinos only offer single free odds. Some allow double free odds. Some allow as high as 10X free odds. Could probably come up with a D'Alembert system that just raises or lowers the amount of the free odds bet. Food for thought 🙂
Hope I'm not coming off as being a nit picky know it all. That's not my intention. I just hate to see anybody giving the casino any more than 2% or 3% juice.
As long as I have my craps book out: FYI: the place bets you demonstrated in your first craps vid carry the following House advantage:
Place the 4 or the 10: -6.67%
Place the 5 or the 9: – 4.0%
Place the 6 ot the 8 : – 1.52%
That's why I do my pass line bet followed up with free odds or double free odds. Then Place the 6 & the 8. Then make a few come bets hoping to hit my 6 or 8 & convert. Doing that the grand total house advantage against me is probably right in the 1% vacinity. Of course a quick 7 out hurts like hell. Might have to think about your hedging idea you demonstrated in your first craps vid. Keep big odds on that Don't pass bet til after my 6 & 8 have converted or into profit zone.
All of the above House Advantage % numbers are also available on Michael Shackleford's WOO web site.
I think the 3 and out system is still the best. For player system you need a large bankroll and playing against the trend is never advisable.
Love your channel mate
Is their a system you find works more often than not on live dealer ? I actually have an OK money management system but wanted your advice on what live dealer system works best ?? I do realise all systems do lose
Thanks again
