I usually walk up to a table, ask if it's 3-2 or 6-5 (as if I can't read), then make a disparaging comment about how awful 6-5 is if that's the payout for that table and ask where the 3-2 is located. That being said I have pretty much taken my BJ play off strip to the Boyd and Fremont St casinos (but still play poker on strip). $5 mins for DD and shoe games with 3-2 will get my action over the greedy strip casinos.
I can really see the effort here using MS Paint.
Here's the question Mike.
Is 6 to 5 Blackjack a worse game than having to pay a 50c ante on every hand like in Oklahoma?
Hey Mike, shouldn't the math at about the 3-4 minute mark in the video be:2*96/312*24/310=4.76% for player2*95/311*23/309=4.55% for dealerAnd4.76%*(1-4.55%)=4.54% player winning blackjack
Since the deal would go player, dealer, player dealer instead of player, player, dealer, dealer liked the video suggests?
As you can see it doesn't make much of a difference, I'm more just curious for myself. I like the videos you have done and they do not seem to long like others have been suggesting. If people want the final value for the house edge of a game quickly they should just check your wizard of odds page for it. Longer videos are perfect for people who want to learn and understand how you do the math for the calculations you provide on your website.
Thanks for the videos, keep up the great work.
Michael, do you believe that the move from 3:2 blackjack to 6:5 blackjack is out of necessity or just to boost their bottom line?
