  1. The low’s can be difficult to face. Hard not to let your emotions take over. Winning is great, taking losses can be very stressful. Some days it can be downright awful! Dealer bust cards not busting, double downs not catching, no qualifying hands on a bust while dealer makes a hand, 5-6 card 21’s made by the dealer, etc….

  2. Do you think you can be successful playing perfect strategy blackjack in a casino where they use an auto-shuffle machine.

  3. I burned out my savings on the game. I spent a lot of time reading the books, practicing at home, learning the math and many deviations only to still end up broke. Now I am so far removed from the game after the covid lockdown that I would have to start all over again if I ever choose to step into a casino again.

  4. One more reason: most games now suck even in Las Vegas unless you play minimum $50-$100 per hand, and at those tables the scrutiny is going to be such that they’re going to know you are card counting as soon as you raise your bet.
