In this video, we share 7 Blackjack strategies that don’t work and actually recommend learning a basic Blackjack strategy that is very easy to learn and implement whether at live casinos or land-based casinos.
You may think that basic is no good or not enough to win at Blackjack, but that’s exactly the opposite. Even the basic Blackjack strategy is good enough if you have self-discipline, follow it, and play according to your own means.
Another great strategy is the Blackjack card counting strategy which works really well (and we’ve linked to a video we made about it at the end of this video). Yes, it is legal, but you’ll have to practice a lot before trying it will real money, and not be so obvious at the casino when using it, so they won’t ask you nicely to leave.

Never double down on an 11 if the dealer shows an Ace and hasn't taken a second card (i.e. no peek).

Who made this video, a casino ?? Completely ridiculous. A good friend just won $ 5400 after an inital $300 buy in, almost strictly playing "no bust" and doubling 9, 10, an 11 and splitting when the book indicates. And also using a lot of positive progressive betting. He did, however, play for 5 hours.
Wow, people in the comments think that these strategies are good -_-
I have a hard time believing the basic strategy on a dealer showing an Ace, when the explanation is bs. If the dealer has a Ace it bad. Generaly 4/13 times they will have a blackjack. As this video explaines only 5 cards give them a hand when they have to draw again. Guess what, If they don't have a ten, they have to draw again 5 out of 9 hands. If you are still in the game after they peek at their hole card, they don't have a ten, there are only 4 cards they can have that would give them a not drawing hand.
They have little chance of getting 21, yet all basic stategy says don't double your 11 against an Ace. Why not? Before you have the opportunity to double you already know they don't have a ten. Your odds to get a 10 is close to 31%. Their odds to get 21 would be less than 8%. Yet no basic strategy book says to do this.
How about Martingale with a plateau? For example, $10 lose 20 lose 40 lose 80 lose 160 lose 160, 160, 160, until you win. This way you'll lose only a few hundred dollars, not your entire bankroll.
No bust does work, better than cc and bs imo.
The only 2 problems with this video are 1. that it says that you will win in the long run by playing basic strategy. No you will not. You NEED to count cards. Don't even go to the casino if you aren't prepared to do that. and 2. you say that you should NEVER take insurance. In fact, if you are counting cards and doing it properly, you'll be taking insurance upwards of 20% of the time in a 2-deck game and 7% of the time in a 6-deck game with the cutcard in a decent place. But other than those two misleading things, this is about the best such video I've watched.
The house has a built in advantage, in the end it does not matter how you play because sooner or later you will lose your money, even if you count cards you still can definitely lose and counting cards could cost you alot of money because people increase their bets when there are more tens left. I was a dealer for 15 years and I have seen hundreds of people counting cards and then go home wondering how they can pay their Bills.
