The Last Casino (2004) (TV)

Mathematics professor Doug Barnes knows how to count cards and make money playing blackjack, only problem is, he’s been banned from just about every casino. To top it off, he has a gambling problem and is deeply indebt to a vicious loan shark.

Desperate to pay off his debt, Barnes recruits three brilliant graduate students and teaches them the secrets to win at blackjack, with team play and card counting. But as the young trio becomes embroiled in the gambler’s world, their own deadly addictions begin, and every trip to a casino could be their last.

  1. Canada didn't open it's first casino til 1989, four years later the second one opened. Toronto still doesn't have a casino. In the movie they are counting Canadian money. Not sure why they would change this part of the story.

  2. 3-7 is better than 2-6. Simple one count close enough, less tiring, faster and less error prone than other counts (not a meaningful difference).

Story is not accurate btw and if i'm not mistaken there were more advanced techniques used to win.

  3. Absurd premise on the money man. Professor is absurd too.

    Dang .. Read the book.

Oh some places they own the police .
