I thought of this myself, except I call it "Banking." When I bank money, I don't bet with it as long as I'm at the table.
Blackjack pays 3 to 2, not 3 to 1, though he did pay it correctly.
Regardless, none of this setting aside money makes a bit of difference. What you lose is based on mathematical expectation, the house edge +/- std deviation. There's no difference between losing $100 over 2 hours, or $100 over 2 1 hour sessions. Stop losses don't stop anything, only create artificial demarcations. If you don't count cards, get the most by playing at a slow/full table, bet the min, play basic and get comped.
