I found this 1960s BlackJack Guitar at a yard sale. This violin shaped guitar was made in Japan. This guitar was in a dirty condition, but it had most of the parts intact.

What a bargain and a nice 'Tiesco' sounding instrument.
Totally awesome…
Those MIJ's are a rare find. You got lucky to get one that the neck wasn't all warped on. This was during a time where Japan was very experimental with their factory guitars and tried to copy designs based on sight rather than schematics. — Hence the odd headstock which would be used to hang it on a guitar-boat for live musicians.
Nice score Daniel. That ol' git looks great after you cleaned it up. A nice playable instrument for $10 and some elbow grease. Oh, and I noticed you put flatwounds on it.
Pretty handsome
Well spotted, great rescue
Looks and sounds great! You scored for sure!
Best $10 ever spent. What a beauty.
What a great find!! Good job on the restore/clean. What do you use on the chrome pieces?
I like the sound. Nice clean up.
