A couple of things from a 27 year crap dealer/table games supervisor. If you were on my table I'd say to you, "Nice hands. You have really good hands… but what's the hurry? Slow down so the boxman can read the payouts." It seems like you're more showing off than teaching.
Secondly, a clean layout is a happy layout. Keep your bets sharp looking. Cap off the six's & eights, etc. Heel off your place bets as you hand them out… Bring your come bets out from the number when they hit just like they're are set up on the number, then pay it in the come and heel the payout off. Always deal to the camera and the bosses. Something I'm quite sure you're aware of.
Also some advice for newer dealers that perhaps don't know this. Deal to the rail. Keep an eye on the players rail and if they have a grip of of one particular color, loveing convert that bad. I oftentimes tell dealers, "When he gets to $300 in aces go ahead and start converting him." Then I roll my eyes and walk away laughing. No player should ever have more than $20 in aces. I personally start converting at $10, etc. Unless they're betting for me… then of course keep him in aces. $20 is good.
