Learn Craps Video Source And Information:
This video is made for a specific course in which we cover just a bit of probability. The actual calculation should be possible to follow for a good high-school student, but thinking through the problem on your own is not always obvious to students at a much higher level. (In fact, none of the arithmetic is beyond what a middle school student should be able to do.)
The game is a common gambling game with many variations. This discusses a common version.
If you just want to know the final answer (and Wikipedia does a really good job of discussing this problem), it’s 244/495 for the version with 2,3,12 losing on initial throw.

I'm not in your course but found this very helpful for understanding the basics of finding the probability of Craps, thank you!
I was never good in math but I do play craps at the casinos. I have a few math questions I hope you don’t mind answering for me. What is the percentage of winning for having 18 ways of winning versus 6 ways of losing? I’m playing the inside numbers of 5, 6, 8, & 9 at the same time versus the 7. …. next question what is the math ratio and percentage for a different scenario? I bet both ways at the same time on the pass line and the Don’t Pass line. (In every casino, the don’t pass line wins with 2, & 3, But Ties/push with the 12.) I have no way of winning, and only one way of losing with the 12. (1 out of 36 combinations) when the shooter establishes a point, then I take true free odds with the point. The pass line and don’t pass line nullify each other out which leaves me risking the true free odds bet only at that time. So my question is how much more, if any, am I mathematically more effective playing this way by comparison to a straight pass line better? Have I lowered the house edge against me? I just don’t know how to run the numbers. Can you tell me in crayon your answers and how you got there? Thank you in advance for helping me!!!
PLEASE stop thumping the damned microphone. I love what you are doing, but I can not abide that stupid, random, thump.
