  1. It takes YEARS. not months to become skilled at Influencing the dice. If you want to know the truth…… Dice Influencing is really no more than " Toss" influence.

What I mean is this…..the toss itself is the only thing that is really being influenced. We influence how our dice rotate in the air, where they land, & how much bounce they have after contact with the backwall. The numbers received will vary.

The reality is this: If a person is lucky enough to become a skilled shooter, unless you are HIGHLY skilled…..the largest advantage someone will acquire is 2%. ( which is just enough to barely tilt the odds).

I have been at the craft for 13 years, & what I have found ( and I consider myself skilled, & play quite frequently on the road to supplement my retirement income) is that you must wager very carefully ( low house edge bets), & know when to walk away, because there will be many days wherein your toss is good, yet you continue to get bad results. A 2% advantage is not huge, so you must wager accordingly.

If you want to learn/witness how the dice should react after contact with the backwall, view the videos on my YouTube channel @ Cashiers Cage.

  2. Thanks for the video. I feel there IS such a thing as "advantage roll" with practice. I'm working on an roll that has my palm facing the target wall (diamond bumper) and then releasing the dice like they were a bocce ball. With the forward momentum, they stay on axis with little to no bounce. My goal is keep them rolling on the deck down all the way down the table, and they die when they touch the beveled base of the diamond bumper, so there is the slightest amount of movement. Thanks again and Good Luck
