I did miss a vig on the $400 4 lay so -$10 on that strategy
In my option, this might be better as a hedge for inside place bets. :Like a 3 hit and pull down kinda thing leaving the lays up or something.
I like your cold table+sweet 49 strat the best. Im going to Vegas on the 2nd and WILL be using your cold table combo when im not shooting or the table goes cold.
When you get some time maybe you can run the 4/10 Lay vs the DP…..good luck to you in Biloxi
Thanks Larry, I agree that it is just like a coin toss except the vig gives the house edge. I also agree with Stephen B that lay bets are best utilised as a hedge for other bets and then I would only like to see them used for a small number of rolls. I tend to use the lay bet only to protect my DP bet on the come out roll, then once a point is set, the DP pays even money with no vig, so I take the lay down. Yes, you don’t get a choice on the point number with the DP, but that is offset by the even money payout. I use a $75 DP with a $5 or $6 11 and a $200 lay 4 or 10. This way you only get the very occasional hit on the 4 or 10 on the come out. Cheers
I'm new to the game trying to learn all I can, what is the vig?
Never lay a 4 or 10 until they have been rolled 2-3 times unless you are using them as a hedge.
Get ready for $25-$50 minimums at Harrah’s in Biloxi. Again, the Palace and the Scarlet Pearl have $10-15 tables.
