Nice video, but playing the 4 and 10 instead of the 5 and 9 is a loosing strategy over almost every shooter. The rare shooter shoots more than one 4 or 10.
I hate to be the one to point this out, but you started with a $500 bank roll, so you won $2….Actually you won more like $6 because you took the vig when there wasn't a 4 or 10 made. Interesting strategy, like the video….
Good demo for a "free drinks" style of gambling. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks so much for giving my strategy a try, Jacob! You did an excellent job in testing it as well as in explaining the logic behind it.
Take care, continue to stay safe and healthy, and tell little Justice I said hi!
Great video
Great opinion and analysis post game. And it's about time for the Patriots to start losing their division. Here comes Josh Allen and the Bills 🏈
Thanks for sharing, great content as always.
I agree with you 100% Jacob, it is much better to make profit in as few roles as possible by collecting more out of the gate than expecting a long roll and demanding multiple repeaters that pressing up strategies require just to claw back to even on your bankroll.
You are also totally on the money about being aggressive. I think any strategy that is timid and DEMANDS to have lots of repeaters and a long roll to make any profit is FAR inferior to a strategy that makes bank in as few roles as possible. Once in the profit on a hand you can sooner you can also afford to be more speculative as your bankroll is protected. Being aggressive and making profit quickly also has the effect of minimising the house edge grinding you down over a thousand cuts. This is why I tend to avoid any kind of grinder plays.
After thinking about the math more and replying to another post on here, I have reached the conclusion that unless I am playing an iron cross variant I don't think I will place the 5 or 9 or play any inside numbers variant, much better to buy the 4&10 and place the 6/8 like this strategy does. Covering the even numbers also suports playing the hardways as you can replace them with winnings if it's an easy way (as I don't like replacing wagers from my bankroll).
Agreed start with more and start collecting right away. If started with 24 ea on the 6 & 8 with 2 hits either you have $56, $78 or $100. Rather than wasting 2 hits on pressing you only need 3 or 4 hits to break even or profit. Good strategy otherwise.
