My favorite rig for sheeps is nothing more than a long leader with a small hook of your choice and a couple split shot about 6" or so away from the hook. I like a #2 mustad beak bait hook but any little hook will work. It's not a rig you can use in a lot of places with moderate current but if you can get away with it, I think it's the best rig for them.
Sheepshead hang out around the sea wall on Banks Channel.
Where do we find the Carolina Treat?
Giant pool noodles work well around the gunnals.
Is there any better success with small hi lo rigs on the bridges ? So you have 2 hooks at different heights ? Is there a better tide also?
