Live Roulette Game #16 – WINNING AT ROULETTE! – Red Garter Casino, Wendover, NV – Inside The Casino

Craps Tips Video Source:

The 3rd mistake by the dealer, in this live roulette game, begs the question; How often do YOU count what the dealer pays you when you win?
Despite the THREE mistakes, I cashed out a winner!

While some people may think my playing strategy is dumb, the truth is that my bankroll last longer than average, and I cash out a winner more often than not. This is evidenced by the fact that while I buy-in ONCE with $50 in this game, the player with blue chips buys in TWICE; first with $35 (which he loses in a matter of a few hands), then with another $100.
Although my way of playing may not make me tons of money in winnings and is harder to recover from when I lose a hand, it’s still a statistically BETTER way of playing this game and lets me play longer. Is it a GUARANTEED way to win? NOPE! But, it is A LOT of fun!

Here’s how I play roulette:
As we know, the play field is divided up into three sections; 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. Taking this into account, I take a look at the board to see how the wheel is trending. I will then place my first bets on the 2/3 of the field that the numbers are mostly coming from.
It’s important to note that when I’m placing my bets on 2/3 of the field, I do it equally on each 1/3 I’m playing. For example: If I’m betting on the first 2/3 of the field (1-24), I will start out with 3-4 chips on the outside (6-lines or streets) of each 1/3. So the 1-12 section has 3-4 chips and the 13-24 section also has 3-4 chips. Either way, each section has the same number of chips in the same pattern.
If the number hits in any of the 2/3 I’m betting on, I’m a winner and I’ll move to the inside and place bets on corners, equally spaced with equal number of chips in each 1/3. Placing 4 chips equally spaced on the corners allows me to cover ALL the numbers in that section. (see the video for how I do it.)
This betting method always produces a small or large profit when a number hits for me. It NEVER pays less than my bet or break even.
The reason I bet this way (2/3 of the field) is because I have a 2:3 chance of winning something or breaking even. If I bet equal money on ALL 3 sections of the field, I’d just be spinning my wheels. If I bet on just 1/3 of the field, the odds are even MORE against me. Thus the reason why I play 2/3 of the field.
If I continue to win, I will gradually increase my bets either by adding the 6-lines or streets to my inside bets, OR by pressing the corners bets. I will gradually increase my bets until a number hits in the section I’m NOT betting on. Then I start over from the beginning with small outside bets as stated above.
If all of the above is confusing, just watch my roulette videos and you can see my method in action (mostly).

Again, is this a fool-proof way to win at roulette? NOPE! There’s no such thing. BUT, it does allow me to play longer and gives me a better chance at winning than randomly placing my chips on the layout.

However, the BEST bit of advice to my method is this…. when you are winning, knowing when to color up and walk away makes all the difference.

  1. Have YOU ever had a dealer screw up while you're playing at the tables? Tell us about it in the comments below.

  2. I play almost the exact way as you instead I cover all the 6 ways and corners to make U shapes for 2 of the 12 number sections and then I place a few chips splitting a few numbers within those 2 12 sections I win most of the time, sometimes a few losses even when i hit a few numbers it's a $2-4 loss but i usually end positive everytime playing and I can play for hours in a $100 buy in. So for me roulette is a great game to enjoy some free drinks and play casually for hours on end.

  3. Thanks for the video. I like your relaxed style. Last time I played people were screaming and cursing. It wasn’t fun at all.

  4. First spin, ball out of the wheel…one time I listened to a dealer at MGM once talk about training and said a ball out of the wheel equals being written up and likely never dealing roulette again, apparently its like the worst thing you can do as a dealer…seems extreme but he was pretty adamant about it

  5. Plz do another roulette vid soon all we have are the computer ones close i lived look like u guys were having fun

  6. You have your odds wrong…I play this way as well but for one: your not taking into account 0 and double 00 which takes your direct odds to 64% not 2/3s…second: it's not a true 64% when you are betting two sections and get paid 2-1 if you win and lose 2 bets if you lose (instead of one). I know what you are trying to say but your actual odds of winning a session this way are 32% and that's the real math. You have to consider payout odds which are 2-1 but you are making more than one bet…so you either win 2-1 on one spot or lose it all with two or more bets.

  7. Recently I had something bogus happen to me at a casion. I place a $5 bet on black. And then a lucky guy at table bet red. I was following him, but did not notice he bet red until the ball was spinning. So I started reaching down to move my bet and just as my hands reached my chips, the dealer started to move her hand to wave "No more bets." My hand picked up the chips as her hand was a few inches away and then I moved my chips to the Red (I started picking the chips up right before her hand swung over my color but placed them in Red immediately after her hand swung over Red). She then picked up my chips and put them back on Black!! Of course, Red hit and she took my chips. I thought since I picked up my chips right before her hand waved over my bet, she should have at least gave me back my chips and "No betted them." I felt cheated.

  8. Hey Inside the Casino: One question for you, and one comment.

    1. Is this a $5 table? I noticed on one spin you only bet $4. If this was a $5 table, it should have been a not bet, lol.

    2. It's real honest of you to want to have returned the extra $1 payout. I used to do the same. But since I've gotten so roughed up in the casino, I realized they're gonna get all my money anyway. I only win one in every 6-8 trips I'd say. So if I get paid a little extra, and can have a little extra fun by having an extra chip, and since the casino is going to get it anyway, I figure I might as well keep them. ^_^

Edit – And I am definitely an honest man and honor my bets. However, there were times where I felt cheated by the casino (see my other comment). There were a few times where I complained about being underpaid and went unheard.

  9. You should never pull back your chips from a winning number in case the number hits again. If it doesn't you are losing just one chip or so.
