What tool’s and material you will need to service or repair a Rinnai tankless.

Craps Tips Video Source:

Here is a complete video on what tools and material I have and use to repair, service or trouble shoot a Rinnai tankless heater. As I said in this video there is nothing I have not used in the tool bags that I carry to repair a heater.
The multimeter and the manometer are Field piece.

Multimeter #SC260 $129.95
Manometer #SDMN5 $175.00
Any brand hand tool will do the trick but a very good laser cut tip philips screw driver the the two meters should be a good one.

I hope you enjoy this video,
Mike

  1. Hey Mike, can/do the interior components on these units freeze? Our should we just worry about heat taping the pipe going in and out of the unit?

  2. Also is it a fire hazard to put insulation around these units if they are in an enclosed box on the exterior of the home? Love your channel!

  3. Hope you had a Merry Christmas Mike, see uu'z guyz got some New York weather.. Bob's your uncle!

  4. Great video and help Mike! Thank you! Hope you guys get some of that white stuff. It’s been a while for us here in San Antonio.

  5. Mike are you located near New Smyrna Beach, fl.?. I would like you to instal my Rinnai tankless water heater.

  6. Hey Mike. Do you recommend a pex manifold system with a rinnai tankless with recirulation?

  7. Do u have a video on adding a thermostat? Our plumber installed the unit (V65i) in the attic, great for venting and proximity to fixtures, BUT the cabin is off-grid, so the temp resets to 104. How to get a controller to ground level so we can up it to 120 when the power is on? 🤔

  8. Mike I have an RU199in and want to add recirculating function but do not have a dedicated return line. What are my options?

  9. Hi Mike! Wanted to get your thoughts. I have an indoor/outdoor propane unit that started making nose after the hot water stops flowing. Unit is less than a year old and just started making the noise. It sounds like a small tire compressor. It turns on anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so but always does right after the hot water is turned off
