  2. I'm still confused why we'd ever prefer calling just because V promises to cbet small on the flop.

    Isn't it better to make it harder for V to realize equity? Why not just 3bet more to a smaller size?

  3. How about if the villain is cbetting too wide and opening too many hands preflop? This presumably applies to Negreanu in this spot. We'd want to 3bet to punish the wide opens and deny equity but we also want to call and exploit his wide cbets.
