Doug, I like to raise with it and after the flop contine with a bet, if I have somone call after that and I whiffed I usually give up. Obviously there are exceptions to that but thats a general way I play it. Not much to it.
I seem to run into AA or KK with AK a lot of the time in full ring cash games.
I was playing live tournament and had AKs I raised 30k with 10k BB and had about 120K ..opponent raised ALL IN and everyone else FOLD. I was in heads up to call. It was in 120 players and I was 4 players from winning positions. I decided to call and oponnent had 33. But I did lose. Did I something wrong? Should I fold even with this strong hand and losing 30K chips to wait for position? Or was it right decision?
Dude is he drunk or high or something? He sounds like he’s slurring the hell out of his words.

When you play it this way everyone knows you have ace king!
So this just happened to me. Playing 1/2 NLH Live.. I have $300 in front of me. Guy at my table super loose and raising any 2 cards preflop every hand! I am BB W/ AK..He is button and makes it $15. I reraise to $30..He reraises me to $90, so I go all in. He snap calls..Flop comes QJ4..Turn 3 River ANOTHER J!!! He flips over AJ Off..SMH!!! Sorry..think Im a ittle tilted atm..
It seems like Doyle Brunson said it best. "1. You'll win more money when you make a hand with it. 2. You'll lose less money when you miss a hand with it." No. 2 should come with a caveat, '…provided that you have the ability to cut bait. '
