In 2019 I set myself a poker goal: Reaching NL200.
In short: I failed. But the goal wasn’t a good one either.
When you play poker, you can’t really set monetary goals like this, because you never know whether or not variance will be on your side. (And it has a bigger effect than you might think)
So if variance hits you hard, you get pushed away from your goal. That can be frustrating, and you start doubting your abilities.
But if things go very well and you see quick progress, you might end up thinking: “My poker strategy is superior. I don’t need to work on my game anymore.”
Even if this is true and you are crushing the stakes you are currently playing, one day, you want to move up. And with higher stakes come better opponents.
Therefore it is essential to keep working on your game constantly. It wasn’t easy to reach NL200. I had to work hard and consistently to get there. But in the end, it always pays off!
It always helps to have hard-working peers around you!

Nice video! How the hell did you get 4800 points though lol
"foldthespot" lmao
What would be the average bankroll for playing 2 tables of $1/2?
Nice artur! When taking a buy in shot at mid stakes zoom, how many do you recommend? I've been doing okay with 5, but thinking about a 7-10 shot because of the variance.
22:50 Yeah Nice raise ,
People has to jam aggressively vs your raise otf, and pop never do it.
If he cb range, we are gonna raise crazy frecs with hand likE FD and str8 draw , Ax or even 5x or 7x ,which benefits a lot to see turn and river for free (if he never click back after your raise and never donk turn) and can also make fold hand like JJ QQ.
I didn’t pio the spot but you re right, I think we can just raise crazy if we force oop bet and reraise <5%
Well played on reaching Nl200 !
Super video! Great explaining and live commentary
Congrats bro GL GL
calling 87s to a 4-bet isn't that abit light?
Very nice video! But I do have one question, do you maybe know where I can learn optimal calling ranges from the BB, because thd 67o you folded to a 2x, I wouldve always defended. So I think that I need to adjust my BB calling ranges, but I dont know how
