Limit Texas Hold’em Poker is when there is a limit to how much you can bet in each round of betting.
For example, if you’re playing in a 3/6 Limit Game, then you can only bet $3 pre-flop and on the flop and $6 on the turn and river.
These pots can get bigger due to raises. You can raise up to four times per round. You can raise an unlimited amount if it’s heads-up in most poker rooms. Just make sure you know the rules in that poker room before you sit down.
No-Limit means you can bet any amount you want at any time on any street. The only limit is the amount of chips you have in front of you.
In Pot Limit, you can bet up to how much is in the pot, just like the name says. You can bet more than you can in Limit but usually not as much as you can bet in No Limit.
