  1. You’re gonna get a fold here a good 65% of the time. With him having A5o, no heart, you’re getting the fold even more often. In my experience though, when short stacks flop anything, they are more likely to have a “eff it. Just go with it” mentality.

A four-flush board with just a pair? Yikes. You’re right, you just have so few bluffs here. You’re going to have him crushed here so often. I can’t even imagine calling this in Destin’s spot. He beats so few hands. The only thing that doesn’t get there is a zero-equity bluff like you had. Even JQ gets there.

  2. I think what the read was from his point of view was your check behind on the flop. I think he's definitely trying to slow play his two pair there since it's not that likely you'll have a flush with that board texture and how much you bet pre and especially on the turn. I agree that if you bet smaller on the turn, the river bet would be much more convincing, and his stack is pretty shallow as well, so he got to go for it here since he's pot committed at that point.

  3. Hi guys. I am quite new to poker and have a question and hope someone can answer this.
Very often you write – he does not have many bluffs here or he has ton of bluffs here.
What do you mean by this????
Is it on specific board or what? If there is four of for example hearts on board the opponent can represent flush, if board is paired he can represent ful house or four of kind. Simply don't understand it. Can you please help and explein?

    Thank you

  4. Impressive that you can review a hand that you lost (got a little outplayed). You learn more from the mistakes so when you are talking about mistakenly overbetting for example, that is where we learn lessons. Because we all have hands we lost and what you are doing here is teaching us how to break down the thought process the following day when we are hungover trying to explain to our mates how we busted. More fails please.

  5. Alec, what software do you use to study gto? Not what do you endorse, but what do you actually use?
