  1. I think especially against 3 players, there could be an argument to check even with the intention of check folding the flop? I mean what exactly are we trying to achieve with a bet on the flop. It gets checked to us but both SB and BB could still have a queen. We're not really going to get called by worse unless its just J10. But even then there would be less combos of J10 since we have a 10 in our hand. And if we get called on the flop and a blank comes out on the turn it just leaves us in a tricky spot to get outplayed imo

  2. Hmm, preflop raise is ok, T9s is in the edge of my raise also for that position. Flop cbet, depends on your image and how the table is playing but I'm ok with it. Turn bet, i'm ok with it, you should still be ahead at that point and will be called by some worse but I think my preference is to check the turn and bet river as you'd do this with a larger part of your range. The river bet however after the A I think is the problem, I went down through the hands that might get to the river and I can't see many worse hands that get there and would call the bet, so I think check-call the river is best hoping a worse hand might semi-bluff into you. However, with the exact hand the Villain had you prob would have stacked off whatever way it played out.

  3. I think checking the flop is better, but it doesn't matter here, result would've been the same either way.
The reason we shouldn't bet the flop is that we're almost never getting value from worse, and never getting a fold in a 4way pot. We are just inflating the pot with a weak hand

  4. Hello, Bet/checking flop is fine/we have back door clubs and middle pair. If we were bluffing we'd bet anyways. I do think that betting is a superior play but I would go for a smaller sizing around half pot bc/ we raised mp and have the least capped range out of all of 3 opponents. Villain will never fold a queen no matter what size we make it!!
I actually think the biggest mistake in the hand is betting when you hit trips. I understand trips look cool and you think your nutted(you are) but
You don't have many 9x hands in your range as much as villain. The 9 is a bad card for us hence x/call and x is the ideal line to protect ourselves when we have hands like qj and don't want to inflate the pot. To villian your bet on the turn is "polarized" but imo villian with a balanced range of kqW/qjs(I assume no Aq because that's likely 3 bet but not an impossible flat(live players are more "trappy" which is so silly but they do. They also have 9x often because they called flop and can balance their jamming/flat on turn
When we bet villian is likely to fold floats like 10 8(gutter) even j 10. If your playing online cash against regs idk(50 prob +) they will shove the 4 combos of j 10 s and their k9/ace9/Queen 9 and flat some of their 9 and queen x hands. A flat is rarely to bluff if you bet turn, it's more to have a "bottom" of range where we can fold.some players may call and over jam river if stack to pot ratio is around 1-2 with hand Like j 10 where we might be able to bet x here (however most jam turn because based on range our play makes no sense)
Either way jamming river is absurd. Worse will not call/ shouldn't unless they are really bad. Sorry if none of this makes sense; I kind of rambled on.

  5. You got violated because you bet the flop and got sucked in on the turn. The cooler could have been avoided.
A multiway pot is like a limp pot. Someone has TP almost all the time with a medium to low kicker. Also the Queen hits the calling range of the villains that called you. Do some Flopzilla work and highlight what you they would call you with or have seen. Example use an average VPIP like 30% for live or more lol and subtract their 3 bet range from it. Now analyze your equity in the spot. What would they continue with? What would they check-raise with? Easy as pie bro. Check flop and fold to a c-bet. You got way too ambitious with your MP. Also you didn't even bother to look around at your opponents 1st before the flop. You can see how they react to the flop. If they start grabbing chips or look down at their chips real quick without you noticing you are staring at them YOU can automatically tell they are counting their bet size and they definitely hit the flop. You will even catch people looking at their cards again lol When they do this that usually means the flop has some kind of FD on it and they are checking if they have the matching shape. Just by looking at your opponents first you can see if they hit or what kind of board hit. Easy check-fold on the flop. NO READ NO CREATIVITY NO VALUE ONLY BETTER CALLS

Always find out what your first error is in the hand. Once you have acknowledged error ask yourself how can this be fixed. The error was betting the flop everything after doesn't matter. If you are having trouble here this advice probably won't help you at all. What you need is someone to teach you the fundamentals of c-betting and why. That would fix all your flop errors and then you could move on to your turn errors. Also remember that errors aren't a bad thing. Its just lack of knowledge in that subject. If you had the knowledge you wouldn't make the mistake.

    Best of luck

  6. Come on 89 suited it not likely. AQ is about the only hand that will call you can beat and you are beat by any stronger 9. But at that point you are almost pot committed. Even if you checked and when villain pushed you have a tough decision.

  7. I think the shove on the river was a bit aggressive. The only worse hands you would get called with (that are still in Villain's range) are AQ and maybe 89s (though I think 89s probably folds the flop), so you would have to put him on a fairly narrow range of hands for the bet to make sense. Other losing hands in his range at the river are QK, QJ, and Q10. I would opt for a smaller value bet here that might get called by those hands. If you think he's going to fold those hands to any bet, then shoving probably makes sense.

  8. Daniel, I don't see anything wrong with your play here..if he had AQ or AK, he would have called and paid you off.  Either way, you can't just check call river…if he had just weak queen or ace, he would just check behind.  If you're going to pay him off with his q9, then he should pay your trip 9s off with AQ or AK or KQ.  On to the next hand….
