Do NOT Do This In A POKER HAND! (Especially Against Alex Fitzgerald!)

Poker Strategy Info And Source:

I’m joined by Alex ‘Assassinato’ Fitzgerald today as we go over a fun multiway spot in a World Series Of Poker event where Alex had a strong read on his opponents and went with it!

In this video we discuss how to play suited connectors vs a 3-bet, as well as the correct poker strategy for adapting against recreational players that you can tell are weak! In the WSOP there are plenty of these types of players in the small events so try and identify them quickly!

  1. What would YOU do with Q♣ J♣ on the turn?

    Your Stack (HJ): 22,100

    Their Stacks (UTG+2, BTN): 22,100

    Pot: 9,000

    Board: Q♠ 4♦ 3♠ 7♦

    UTG +2 bets 5,000

    A) Fold

    B) Call

    C) Raise to 10,000 (min)

    D) Raise to 22,100 (all-in)

  2. Awesome video and so true sleeping eating properly and nothing on your mind of something else other than poker as I have found out at first hand ✋️

  3. I think the lead from UTG is very face up, and is indicative of a block bet with a draw, although risky, I would have considered ripping turn, because we may get BU to fold a better hand.

  4. with two flush draws the chances that on is on a draw is good. I would then interrupted that the other has a Q. if this was the last hand of the day at a tournament I could see someone calling before the flop with Q7. without the days worth of read information i would fold.

  5. Hey poker friends I have a simple question. Say I open from CO with K7s or J7s or A6o and say SB 3 bets me. Do I defend wider let's say 60 to 80bbs or when I'm 40bb. And kinda the same question if button does that to me I know that's different he has position on me but again defend wider with a shorter stack or the bigger stack. And I know I need like 10:1 implied odds I think for pocket pairs and 20:1 with suited Aces, suited connectors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

  6. I’d fold turn, but probably I’d have folded flop vs that size and a call. But I’m more used to tighter online play than splashy live tournament play…!

  7. The turn lead looks like someone who just wants a fold honestly maybe they picked up a draw with it (they're thinking all 3 of you unlikely to have a Q and only button has AA/KK in range for the most part only UTG should have 65 so range advantage) the only hand that's doing that for value is set of sevens or 65. Basically it's a tight range where the in position players either hit the queen or are drawing a spade flush (button can still have AA/KK sometimes) either is difficult to call except AQ. I'm always suspicious when someone leads the turn on a board like that.
