Sometimes I like to grab an inner tube and float down a river..
Pros call it floating… In amateur terms its donking.
TBF, calling stations and maniacs do it all the time. If I spot someone floating too often I'll either check the flop and double barrel more often, or if you get really creative you can bet the flop and check-raise the turn.

What does any of this have to do with lying on my back in a pool trying not to drown?
i usually only float when i have at least some backdoor potential to go with position against someone who c-bets too much…this way, even if he keeps betting some of the time you pick up something good and can smooth call and then raise the river.. i rarely float with absolutely nothing…you have to really know your opponents for that to be profitable on a regular basis, and also be playing fairly deep
