In this hand we call the flop with the NFD and face a similar size bet on the turn. Should be bluff our hand or just call? Can we value bet river if we hit a J?

  1. My intuition was to raise turn to $90 and then jam any river card. Could be dumb though. Not sure.

  2. my question is, even though villain's betting made his hand fairly obvious, do you think it is bad play on his part? i mean, he was getting value and got a little bit coolered on the river.. how else would you play a hand like that?

  3. I agree with most of what Bart said in this hand, however, the turn is never a C/R…It's always a call in this spot. Yes, villain is going to have mostly weak holdings like 10X when he only bet's $30 on the turn but so many live low stakes players will not be folding to a C/R here. Semi-bluffing period is usually a disaster against live low stakes recreational type players because fold equity is so low when they've been the aggressor to the turn. Hero played this hand fine and very standard..Only thing is he could have lead the river with a bigger sizing – $70ish range.

  4. Man bart, stop with freezing weird frames of yourself through the whole video, lol

  5. I would check/raise flop with attempt to get it in. you have 15 outs = 60% chance of winning the hand.
