Hi Bart
I see/hear this so often; Hero cbets/semi-bluffs the F, continues on a blank T, and doesn't shut down on a R that very likely hits the range of the Villain. – It's a big leak alot of players seem to have. – You need good/safe runouts for those triple-barrels. ( And you also need a Villain who can fold a toppair and respects your bets, obviously. )
guy play. People are sticky if they flop the K or open ended. I have seen people lose their entire stacks betting with junk like yourself.
What about just call preflop. Fold flop? One of my least favorite things is when I have AQ and the flop comes a K. The guys probably not folding a K or QJ. I’m really just curious about the raise preflop then playing out of position?
Preconceived notions about the Villan by the Caller led to multiple blunders. Wonnder what the call in from the Villan would be along with his view of the Callers play and Barts analysis?.._.. Love playing against 'Old Man Coffee' like this caller; make alot of money off them.
Flat or 3 bet is fine pre. 3 bet size of $90 is a bit big but fine OOP. Standard c-bet of $95 on flop and sizing is perfect. Down betting should never happen at these stakes. I would check fold turn but if you're going to barrel turn, you absolutely have to barrel river. Villains ranges is never ever folding to a turn bet on this board given the action. Very clear jam on this river after betting turn. Again better line is to check/fold turn however.
This gentleman needs to go to lower limit game until he gets more practice. Too many mistakes.
I can't say I'm too excited by that play…c-bet, sure. But after that being called with those fairly shallow remaining stacks and no improvement….ummm..you missed, dude, and villain is representing a hand. If turn was a heart that might be different.
This is a pretty brutal play imo. I am surprised that sizing is not being criticized. The entire way, villan was given the price to call both with his up and down draws and with his KQ KJ K9 hands. These half pot bets will almost never fold out the villans range once he calls the flop. 1/3 on the flop, pot sized or even slight over bet on the turn if it bricks out. Either that or give up on the turn.
Villain played exactly like he had QJ
