Angle shooting is when someone is bending or breaking the rules in order to gain an advantage.
Angle shooting is frowned on by the poker community and should never be attempted.
One example of angle shooting is collusion. This means two players will secretly be working together to influence the action.
This is extremely difficult in live poker rooms. It’s more common with online poker.
Other examples include using bots in online poker, marking the deck in live poker, stealing chips off an other’s player’s stack during a break, consistently acting out of turn to trick your opponent, a pump-fake on a muck in order to pretend your hand is weak when it’s strong, hiding your highest-denomination chips, and much more.
As long as you stick to playing by the rules and not intentionally trying to cheat, you will be fine. Don’t go the dark route. If you do, the poker community will find out about it.
