Great examples
But I would say, because I was in both in these example last week and got destroyed, if you have a flush and a there's a straight flush draw, I would just check call if someone bets. Same as having a low boat situation. Most if the time someone might have the higher. bad I know, but to just check call, for me, is the best way to go. And if you have it you have it. I do that with two pairs. I never initially bet on two pairs, because there is always a straight and flush draws as I mentioned before. And they always seem to hit.
I agree with the 7:27 example. I think the problem is getting over the times you’ve been burned in the past. It’s hard to make the right moves when you’re in the moment or in my case tilting.
Good tips especially for me since I play, but not often, hi-lo o. As I play in most games of poker the biggest question I ask myself is "am I willing to bet, raise or call a raise with my hand at any point?"
I think many players start pre with a one sided view without taking into account how the current view of thier hand might change as the other players act as the hand progresses.
So if I don't feel, based on my hand or the current actions and behaviors of the player pool that I am willing to continue then I may not continue! Starting with this in mind I think gets you in a certain mindset right from the beginning versus facing a feeling of "unknown territory" automatically putting you mind in a tough spot as you play!
One tip to improve your results…
I would say one sure tip for starters, especially in microlimit games, is to NOT play as many hands. Omaha 8, and hi, is a very nutted game. I forget who, but one of the commentators on LATB said players ask what are premium starting hands, but U should be more like what are the pitfalls in this game. There are bad tons of hands in O8 that will get U in trouble. All in all, tighten up your range.
I'm new to Omaha type games, this is one of the first things I noticed I need to be doing much more compared to Hold'em.
Your full house beats flush
How to improve your overall results? SO simple
#1 fold garbage pre-flop.
#2 leave the table/casino after you win. Ppl triple their money, & keep playing for 2 hours until it's all gone.
hand number 2, what happens when I raise your bet the full pot size, after you bet the river? that's why you don't bet the river when you make crappy boat that beats your ace high flush anyway.
Hey low 8 its mort/usuck, I wanna create a youtube channel to raise money for covid relief and could use you help
Good value bet!!!
