Poker is definitely still a beatable game in 2023 but there may be some things that can kill or damage the games potential to last long term.
If online poker sites or live poker card rooms decide to increase their rake to a level that is unaffordable and kills the pros winrate to an extreme degree we may see damage to the ecosystem that would be hard to repair.
Something like a technology advancement where we get chips in our brains where we can download perfect poker strategy and execute it perfectly could also kill poker as a profitable game, and maybe even as a game for fun!

If you compare crusher's winrates today with ten years ago then you have the answer. It's still profitable but if you have another career then playing full time it's not your best option

Don't forget the money system itself if it became programmable it could block all gambling. A cashless system would kill all gambling along with new taxes on the book makers etc. The chip will not help you play but make you pay
