Over my poker career (15+ years)
I dated my ex for 7 years and my current gf for 8.
My ex never supported my poker endeavors even though I was a winning financially independent player.
The last 8 years have been spent with my current girlfriend who does support my endeavours and encourages me to get volume in.
These two experiences are night and day! I was successful in both experiences but playing when someone is putting in constant resistance to your pursuit of a dream makes success near impossible.
In today's landscape I don't think I could do this without having emotional
and mental positive support from a loved one!
