You gotta love turning one of the nut straights (98 being higher of course), but how do we get value when our opponents play passively?

When you play multiway poker pots you need to adjust your strategy to address a few different important poker concepts.

More players in the pot means more opportunities to be dominated so your willingness to commit big chip stacks should drop, your average hand that puts chips in the pot increases in value or you start losing more money.

You might have to start using the power of position more when deciding to commit chips, should you bet here with your marginal hand or just see a free turn / river and realize more of your equity in position?

Or, like in this situation, are your opponents saying they likely have very little and aren’t willing to commit chips?

Your poker strategy might have to adjust to checking some top end straights like this one to make sure you can get some value.
