3betting for value is easy with hands like AA and KK, but when should AK get 3bet and when is it “for value”? SplitSuit’s complete book Optimizing Ace King will help you simplify this complex hand: https://www.splitsuit.com/ace-king-poker-book
In this video SplitSuit shows us what a value 3bet is, and how to visualize this profitable preflop play. He discusses villain’s range of hands, how our hand performs against it, and easy ways to figure out if your 3bets are really for value. And since the majority of your profits come from hands like QQ+/AK, understanding this concept is vital for your success!
(The note about 3bet sizing is more for full-stacked NLHE cash game players. Sizing in MTTs/SNGs can differ due to the smaller effective stack sizes)

Omg, this information is so good. And the mono-tone voice is fcking worst thing I’ve ever heard in my life, hire a voice coach!!!
Fck poker
Life keeps dealing me kk vs AA or I flop full house and lose
Totally makes no sense.. you don’t know what they have??
I’m so lost 😖
How do you know when a 3 bet is for value? How can you know when you should 3 bet against your opponent?
not sure I wouldn't 3 bet with QQ with position. You might win the pot right there, but more importantly if villain does call, you know exactly where you stand since the range of cards he calls a 3 bet with shrink. Yes you're behind but he'll prob check to you so get a free card so the 3 bet raise holds some value post-flop as well
And then reality hits…
Way too fast! Way too much assumption that we already know what we’re doing! Very poorly explained for us beginners.
