When the cards have been dealt, you can either check, which is to carry on without betting, or you can bet the ante, if you feel your hand is worth a bit more money. The dealer will then deal a fourth community card, also known as the ‘turn’. Once again, players can either check or bet and, just like the flop, the bet will need to be equal to the ante. At this point, the dealer will deal the fifth and final community card, known as the river, before the dealer and the player both turn their cards over. The dealer will then decide which hand, from all seven cards available on each side, is better.
