It’s funny this video just dropped because a friend of mine and I were just talking about how we as players can and often are our own worst enemies at poker table. Always appreciate the guidance, thoughts and opinions and your experience Nathan.
The easiest way for me to handle tilt is to simply get away from the tables for awhile and not come back until the feeling passes.
Did you really end up throwing your macbook against the wall? 😉
I highly recommend reading 'treat your poker as a business', it has also a lot of great tips included. Good video!
Your content is too good to start putting those clickbaity titles.
Great vid nathan. Especially point #4, imo it is the hardest but most essential to conquer. At least for me anyway.
Hi Nathan, really enjoying the content. It has helped me simplifying my game a lot to become more efficient in small stakes.
Last night I was playing again an ultra mainiac fish, he basically played +95% of his hands. When I 3-betted preflop with ex AJs and then didn’t hit the flop. The mainiac usually betted pot sized bets everytime, and that put me in hard positions many times with nothing to work with. How to act in these kind of situations?
I did increase my stack from 200BBs to ~390BBs when playing him but it feels like I lost many dumb hands when he was bluffing preflop all the time. Maybe a future video idea if I’m lucky, keep up the good content!
Thank you for ending up talking about the mental game. Understanding the numbers side is the primary step to winning more often. Paired with that is the only thing we can control, our mindset.
Solid advice this time
