That was great Mark! I’m just playing 1-2 nl live and the guys at the table said the same thing about the rake at 1-2. I wanna step up to 2-5, I know I have the knowledge but I’m not the most confident in the live game. I’m trying to figure out a good frame of mind to have to combat this. I also think I just need to do it and acclimate that way. Do you think That’s a good idea to start at 2-5 where I know I’d be at least average at the table or should I stick to 1-2 for a while and get better there first?
Thanks- drew
How does one practice on playing 2-5 w/o having to trip to casino? Question to you Mark?
I toast to you Mark.

I regularly play 5/5 NLH at one of my local casinos and I have played 2/5 for the first time. Every time I play 5/5, I usually have a winning session. I have had like two or three losing sessions for every winning session at 5/5. The other night I played 2/5, I managed to win a bad-ton of money. But I had to be waitlisted in which I played 1/3 NLH in the meantime. In your opinion, is it possible to gain a lot of information while waiting a hella long time for a seat at a 2/5 game to open? Because I felt like I managed to get a ton on info on these players while playing 1/3 and I only glanced a few times and saw pretty much the same players playing for about an hour or two. Not to mention I managed to win two big pots with a flopped set of fours and a flopped king-high straight with K9 with three diamonds on the board (opponent had flopped two-pair of QJ and he was in position while my K9 off was in the small blind).
1/2 is a harder game to beat ..then 2/5 imo …
Control your pinky finger when having a drink, lol
