That 1st hand, im pretty sure the "kind gentleman pro" was trying to save face after getting outplayed. That raise is more likely an AQ, A10, even Q10s trying to get you to fold a 1 pair hand (after sensing weakness from the blocker bet). Weird line he took, clearly a misplay– and even more-so if he actually did have AK. He's checking the turn because that board (after 4th st) smashes your range; if he puts you on that range— AK is just a call on the river. That blocker bet could be weakness, but its sooo tiny it could also be used to induced a raise. He was probably trying to buy the pot and had 10 blocker.
